Abdolrasoul Motahari Agricultural Research Station

There is a research station in Karaj called Motahari Research station which is approximately 300 hectares in 20 km distance to SBSI headquarter. All experimental trials, pairwise crosses, seed propagation, as well as experimental hybrid production are performed at the station.
The only monogerm seed factory in the country is located at the station. All stages of seed processing including cleaning, grading, coating, disinfecting and packing are performed at the factory.

Ardabil Commercial Seed Production Department

Ardabil province has been pioneering in the sugar beet seed production for many years due to the presence of a suitable climate and the existence of the necessary infrastructure. The Commercial Seed Production Department is able to produce 100% of domestic demand and the multigerm seed processing factory is located at the station.

Firuzkuh station

Firuzkuh station is a center of basic seed production of sugar beet since 1941. It is located in the eastern region of Tehran with altitude about 2000 m above sea level, average annual rainfall of 300 mm, and minimum and maximum annual temperatures of -27°C and +32°C, respectively. The station is one of the most prone areas for sugar beet seed production (especially basic seed) in the country.
