The research project to develop and introduce the first Iranian red beet variety began in 2018 and the results led to the production of promising genotypes for the first time in the Iran. In this project, which is being implemented in cooperation with the Agricultural and Natural Resources Research and Education centers of Markazi, Qazvin and Semnan provinces, different red beet lines were produced and are being evaluated under field conditions.
